This looks really cool man. You've worked out a way that the brand elements, like the logo and grey column are laid out in a way that they let the designer's work speak by itself. Great layout man!
I think grey works because it's neutral. Should we stick to that as our brand colour? I don't think I have much to add, it looks perfect to me. Maybe the space between the two bottom rows in the main page could be smaller? I don't know how it will look, you may have tried it already so I'll let you decide man. It looks finished already to me, all balanced :)
I love the way we read from top left to the main page: Bracket New, or Bracket Dave the Chimp, or Bracket Illustration. It almost become a sentence where Bracket is a verb...
One thing I was thinking was about the brief. It says that a group of recent graduates set up a forum or blog. Should we add a blog section, where people can comment on their work or comment on other things (?) or should we call the whole website a 'creative forum' ?
"A bunch of recent graphic design graduates have decided to set up their own blog or ‘creative forum’ where people can view and search their work. It’s a step forward at introducing themselves into the design industry and enabling people to search for what is right for them and tailor their needs.
However, not many creative guru’s from London or other larger cities have ever heard of this new creative forum, and people from the industry need to be encouraged to come and view their work in hope of recognition and remembrance."
Thanks man..i'm glad its working out good... The layout is turning out to be pretty alright, didnt put TOO much thought into it, just thought about things as i went along, so yea, glad you think its good.
There's a reason why they're quite apart from each other, and i'll make a post to show it..
Erm, as usual, the brief is unclear... Well, the distinct thing about blogs and forums is that you can usually subscribe to them, join them, comment, and interact with the other ppl on the forum. But then again, according to the brief, it doesnt say anything like that, its only, "where people can view and search their work..enabling ppl to search for what is right for them and tailor their needs"... so yea, which one to follow?..haha..
I'm not sure, but i think its fine at the moment, coz we're answering at least the description of the brief.
But let me know what you guys think, and i can add stuff if we need..
Oh, i've still got the Photoshopping of the Big Brackets to do, and maybe a few more Look and Feel examples (if needed)..will be doing that on Wednesday with you guys if its ok?..
